Overall Win
After a grueling 24-hour battle disguised as a sprint race, the No. 2 Tequila Patron ESM Ligier JS P2 Honda HPD took the overall victory at the 54th Rolex 24 at Daytona on Sunday, January 31. It was the first Rolex 24 win for Honda power in the annual endurance classic that opens the racing season. Twenty-two-year-old Brazilian Luis Felipe “Pipo” Derani brought the No. 2 Ligier JS P2 Honda HPD home to victory, sharing the driving duties with Scott Sharp, Johannes van Overbeek and Ed Brown.
