The V12 is Back
In an era when many high-end automakers are moving away from large, powerful internal combustion engines (ICE) in favor of smaller powerplants or electric powertrains, Aston Martin is staying true to its heritage. To that end, the famed British marque will introduce an all-new V12 engine later this year, which is expected to power the next-generation Vanquish and possibly other limited-edition Astons.
New V12 Era
“The V12 engine has long been a symbol of power and prestige, but it is also a statement of engineering passion and technical prowess,” said Aston Martin Chief Technical Officer Roberto Fedeli. “With 835PS and 1000Nm of torque this unparalleled engine represents nothing less than the dawn of a dazzling new V12 era for Aston Martin.”

Aston Martin Vanquish
Aston Martin introduced the V12 Vanquish almost 25 years ago, and that model was last sold in 2019. The new Vanquish will retake its place as the flagship sportscar for the Aston Martin range with the big V12 under its hood.
Full Lineup
With its introduction, Vanquish will complete the revamp of the brand’s lineup, which now includes DB12, DBX, and the new Vantage.
All-New V12
The new twin-turbo V12 engine gets significant improvements, including stronger cylinder blocks and connecting rods, redesigned cylinder heads, higher flowrate fuel injectors, new intake/exhaust ports, and a new higher-speed turbocharger. The result is a stunning output of 824 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. The V12 will be hand-built in small numbers, adding exclusivity to any vehicle with the V12 under the hood. The new V12-powered Vanquish is expected to debut later this year.
