The Road to Pebble Beach
Almost every summer for the past 20 years, a group of adventurous car collectors gathers in August on the outskirts of Seattle for a special road trip to California (the 2020 edition was canceled due to COVID-19). The trip covers about 1,500 miles through mountains and along the Pacific Coast, arriving at Pebble Beach in time for the famed Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance collector car show. As the first official event of the annual Concours, the Motoring Classic is the brainchild of Al McEwan, a collector who has not only organized this event from its inception but also leads the charge each year.

Ultimate Road Trip
The mission of the Motoring Classic is simple: participants get to enjoy incredible cars in their natural environment — cruising the open road. With vehicles ranging in age from a 1910 Peerless 27 Roi-Des-Belges Touring to a 1963 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder, this year’s group will spend nine days on the road enjoying what McEwan calls “a little bit of driving between the parties.” Take a quick look at these gorgeous vehicles participating in the 2021 Pebble Beach Concours Motoring Classic.
