Remote Work — And Play
In the last year the world has changed considerably due to the ongoing pandemic. More and more people are working remotely, and many Americans had to cancel vacation plans or avoid air travel and crowds. Airstream, maker of the iconic “silver bullet” travel trailer, has come up with a solution. The new 2021 Airstream Flying Cloud 30FB Office travel trailer combines business and pleasure, lending new meaning to the term remote work.

Creative Solution
“The pandemic has permanently changed the traditional work landscape and we’re thrilled to offer a travel trailer that meets the needs of our times without compromise,” said Airstream President and CEO Bob Wheeler. “Airstream has always provided the freedom of a mobile living, playing, and working space, but the Flying Cloud 30FB Office takes that promise to the next level with flexibility and comfort in a design inspired by real-world experience,” Wheeler noted.

Dedicated Office
This unique 30-foot Flying Cloud travel trailer features a dedicated workspace — basically an office — at the rear of the unit. The space features a desk, office chair, drawers and cubbies, along with multiple power outlets and USB ports. A wardrobe is also located adjacent to the desk — a convenient place to keep business attire for an impromptu Zoom meeting. The office also has a pullout table to create more workspace, and overhead storage cabinets feature dry-erase surfaces and undermount LED lights.

Multipurpose
Located at the rear of the Flying Cloud, this mobile office has three windows offering a nearly panoramic view outside. The space also features a guest chair that converts into a bed — a perfect place for a between-meetings power nap. A curtain offers privacy when there’s work (or napping) to be done, and for added daytime comfort and privacy the windows have blackout coverings.

Room for Families
Even though the Flying Cloud 30FB can now be configured with a mobile office, the trailer retains the luxurious amenities that originally made this high-end Airstream popular with families. A master bedroom up front has panoramic windows as well as a queen-size bed and flanking wardrobes.

Dinette
A large dinette and couch can be converted to provide additional sleeping space; total sleep occupancy for the Flying Cloud 30 FB Office is a maximum of six people.

Full Kitchen
According to Airstream, the Flying Cloud 30FB has a full kitchen with a large refrigerator, a three-burner stove, a convection microwave oven, a large sink and considerable counter space to make meal prep a breeze. The trailer also has plenty of cabinet space above and below to keep the kitchen well stocked.

Full Bathroom
It should probably go without saying — yet say it we will — a trailer with a proper bathroom can make all the difference whether camping or working. The Flying Cloud features a full bathroom with a sink, porcelain toilet and separate large shower with a sliding door.

Entertainment
When the family tires of the great outdoors or when the weather is not cooperating, the Flying Cloud interior also offers a JL stereo with surround sound, subwoofer and Bluetooth streaming. There’s also an LG LED TV and a Blu-Ray / DVD player.

Staying Connected at Work or Play
“The Flying Cloud has seen a lot of changes since it was introduced in 1949, but it’s always been a popular option for families and couples,” said Airstream VP of Sales Justin Humphreys. “This new unit makes a small change to an already excellent floor plan, and it transforms the way you can use your Airstream. It gives you even more flexibility to get outdoors, spend time with family, and stay connected to your work. It’s the Airstream dream come true,” Humphreys enthused.
