From War Hero to American Icon: Jeep’s Rugged History in Pictures

Jeep Cherokee: 2019–present
For 2019 the iconic Cherokee received a complete refresh — the first since the model returned to the Jeep lineup in 2014. The new design brings the exterior styling of Cherokee more in line with the traditional look of other Jeep models thanks to larger headlights, a new fascia and an updated 7-slot grille. Inside, the new Jeep Cherokee builds on the previous model with subtle changes to lines and contours, with more premium materials improving quality and comfort. Three powertrains are offered, including a direct-injection turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque with engine start-stop technology. Jeep offers a selection of enhanced 4WD systems as well as a Selec-Terrain traction control system, making it one of the most capable midsize SUVs available.
