Quickest SUV
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is an amazing machine. It offers the utility and capability of a Jeep teamed with Dodge’s Hellcat 707-horsepower supercharged V8 engine, making it one of the quickest SUVs available. But the folks at Hennessey Performance felt this Jeep could use a bit more power, so they made a few modifications — as they are famous for doing — and in the process created the quickest SUV on the planet.

As Fast as a Bugatti
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk tuned by Hennessey Performance is able to scream to 60 mph in a mere 2.3 seconds — about as quick as the $2.5 million Bugatti Chiron. It also clocks the standing quarter mile in only 9.66 seconds at a speed of 145 mph on its way to a top speed in excess of 200 mph.

Why?
So why build such an insane vehicle? “Our team really enjoys pushing the limits and discovering what’s possible with the vehicles we build,” said Hennessey Performance Founder and CEO John Hennessey. “Some may say that it’s pointless to build an SUV quicker than nearly every supercar and hypercar on the market today. I say that is exactly the point. And because we can. Thankfully, we have many customers who also share our passion!” Hennessey proudly exclaimed.

Upgrades
The Hennessey Jeep Trackhawk’s Hellcat engine receives the tuner’s HPE 1200 engine upgrade. Changes include upgraded pistons, rods, ported cylinder heads, a camshaft upgrade, long tube stainless steel headers and a 4.5-liter supercharger system. Hennessey has recorded 1003 horsepower at the wheels, equating to more than 1200 horsepower coming from the engine.

Tires
Putting the Hennessey Trackhawk’s enormous power to pavement requires proper tires. This potent SUV is equipped with Nitto 555R 275/40-20 drag radial tires on all four wheels, and also has a feature to select rear-wheel drive only. At the dragstrip, the driver can spin the rear tires to heat them up, then select all-wheel drive before launching for maximum grip.

Perfect Combination
“I’ve always enjoyed owning and driving fast vehicles that don’t appear to be fast,” said Hennessey. “The HPE1200 Trackhawk is as quick as a Bugatti Chiron or Dodge Demon and has room for 4 passengers and luggage. What more could you ask for?” Hennessey quipped.
