Most Dependable
For the first time in 15 years, vehicle dependability has declined over the previous year, according to the J.D. Power 2014 U.S. Vehicles Dependability Study. This study measured the number of problems encountered in the last 12 months by more than 41,000 owners of 3-year-old (2011 model year) vehicles. The dependability rating is based on the number of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100), with a lower score indicating higher quality. The 2014 study revealed that owners encountered more problems than the previous year — primarily the result of additional engine and transmission issues.
