Dodge Challenger Today
In 2006 Dodge stole the show in Detroit when it took the wraps off a Challenger concept melding modern features, a HEMI engine and classic Challenger styling. Two years later the Challenger arrived in showrooms. Since then Dodge has continued to keep the Challenger alive and relevant with colors from the 1970s as well as variants that include the 707-horsepower Hellcat, the 797-horsepower Hellcat Redeye and the limited-edition Demon possessing an insane 840 horsepower. Unfortunately the demise of the Challenger and its big gas-powered V8 engine is at hand — 2023 will be the last model year, with the brand commemorating the iconic car with seven special editions. But don’t count out Challenger — look for a high-performance electric-powered version to arrive in the next few years.
