9. Toyota Corolla
2019 Sales: 78,606
Vs. 2018: 1.0 %
Corolla is one of the most time-honored names in the Toyota lineup, and recently the company celebrated the 1 millionth Corolla built in the brand’s Mississippi assembly plant. While sales are up overall for the compact Toyota, March 2019 was down 22 percent compared to the previous year. The introduction of an all-new Corolla — along with a Corolla Hybrid — slated to arrive later this year might have something to do with this sales dip. Last year Toyota equipped all Corollas with Toyota Safety Sense-P, which includes pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, dynamic radar cruise control and automatic high beam headlights. A new hatchback trim joins the Corolla lineup as well, adding a bit of sportiness to the popular passenger car.
