Best-Selling Cars in America
Although auto sales in America dropped by more than 14 percent in 2020 due to pandemic-fueled uncertainty, in 2021 sales are experiencing a rebound compared to a year earlier. And a surprising fact remains — almost one-third of total vehicle sales in the U.S. can be accounted for by 10 top-selling models. However, not every automaker has a high-volume model such as the Ford F-150 (almost 800,000 sold last year). So which vehicles are popular with consumers but sell in lesser numbers? The following vehicles represent the best-selling cars in America from nearly every major auto brand. Figures are compiled from manufacturer sales reports based on total volume in the first six months of 2021. Note: Many exotic or boutique car companies do not report individual model sales figures.
