For most European car companies conducting business in the U.S., a midsize SUV represents the most popular model of the maker’s lineup — a truth for Volvo as well. Last year the Swedish automaker added the more powerful Polestar Engineered version of the stylish XC60. Based on the XC60 T8 plug-in hybrid, the Polestar Engineered version gets a bump to 415 horsepower and 494 lb-ft of torque, making it the sportiest model in the Volvo crossover lineup. The XC60 is also safely equipped with extensive features includes oncoming lane mitigation with automatic steering, which detects if the car drifts over a lane marker and automatically steers it back into the proper lane. The automatic emergency braking system also detects pedestrians, cyclists and large animals.
