Sprinter Van
Airstream builds the Interstate 24X on the proven Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van platform. The Sprinter 3500 chassis is powered by a 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine producing 188 horsepower and a plentiful 325 lb-ft of torque.

Mercedes Tech
Since Airstream employs a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis as the foundation for the Interstate 24X, this off-grid adventurer gets all its driving aids and safety features from the German car company. The Interstate 24X includes active distance assist, GPS navigation, active braking assist, active lane-keeping assist, collision prevention assist, side and rear backup cameras, and the MBUX multimedia system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen display.

Powering Adventure
Straight from the factory, the Interstate 24X is ready to leave civilization behind thanks to four-wheel drive, air suspension, dual rear wheels and all-terrain tires. And if the adventure requires some extra gear or towable fun, the 24X is wired with a 7-pin trailer plug, has pre-wiring for a brake controller, a receiver hitch that can handle a 500-pound tongue weight, and the ability to tow up to 5,000 pounds.

Protective Coating
To preserve the RV when the path gets narrow or rough, the Interstate 24X has a protective coating (similar to a spray-on bedliner for a pickup) that wraps around the front and rear bumpers as well as the lower sides of the body.

Lighting the Way
To help light the way for nighttime adventures, the Interstate 24X features a 42-inch LED light bar at the front. Additional Pod LED lights on the sides and rear of the vehicle can light up an entire campsite.

Off-Grid
With the ability to venture well off the beaten path, the Interstate 24X stays powered with two Battle Born 100 Ah deep cycle lithium batteries, a 30-amp energy management system, a 2000-watt power inverter and flexible solar panels that can deliver an additional 300 watts of power. The 24X also has portable solar panel inputs on both sides to maximize solar exposure. And when additional power is required, the 24X also has a high-efficiency Cummins Onan 2.5 kW generator with remote and automatic generator start.

Versatile Interior
Airstream designers and engineers who collaborated on the Interstate 24X created a configurable living space that can be used for storage, dining, seating or sleeping. At the rear of the rig, stylish Simtex marine-grade Carbon Gray cushions can be rearranged to create a seating area for up to six people, as well as twin beds, a workspace or one surprisingly large bed. Multiple USB charge ports keep devices powered, and a 5G-ready cellular antenna helps campers stay connected while boondocking.

Flexible Table Space
Airstream equips the 24X with four mounts for its modular table system. Two mounts at the rear of the coach can be used with the couch seating configuration or the bed. An additional mount sits directly behind the driver’s seat — swiveling the front seat creates a mini workstation.

Exterior Table
A fourth table mount outside the entry door of the Airstream Interstate 24X allows a table to be used for food prep, as a standup workstation, or for other activities while enjoying the great outdoors.

Sports Equipment Storage
Airstream equips the Interstate 24X with an aircraft-grade aluminum L-track storage system with brackets on the walls, ceiling and floor. The system can secure a range of gear such as bikes, climbing gear, snowboards, kayaks or other equipment for safe transport.
Plenty of Storage
The Airstream Interstate 24X offers plenty of overhead storage compartments that line both sides of the RV, and additional storage can be found beneath the rear bench.

All Comforts of Home
Let’s face it, when adventuring off-grid in the great outdoors, there’s no better amenity than an indoor bathroom. The Euro-style heated wet bath of the Interstate 24X has a shower with curtain, a clothesline, a mirror, a full-height toilet and a towel bar. The Airstream Interstate 24X carries a 23-gallon freshwater tank, a 24-gallon gray water tank, and an 11-gallon blackwater tank.

Fully Functional Kitchen
Even while boondocking, there’s no need to rough it at mealtimes when adventuring with the Interstate 24X. The coach features a well-appointed galley with a deep sink, a 2-burner cooktop and a microwave oven. The 24X also has a high-efficiency 5.0-cubic-foot all-electric 12V refrigerator with a 1.6 cubic foot freezer, as well as a generous amount of prep space on a solid-surface kitchen countertop.

All Weather
Whether off-grid adventures occur in the desert, the mountains or anywhere in between, the Airstream Interstate 24X keeps campers comfortable. The efficient Timberline hydronic furnace and hot water system creates a toasty cabin when the weather outside turns chilly, and a Quiet Series 13,500-BTU air-conditioner keeps things cool inside when temps climb outdoors.
