2023 Ford Super Duty
The 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty gets redesigned inside and out, with a new standard 405-horsepower 6.8-liter V8 gas engine, new a high-output 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8 engine producing 1,200 lb-ft of torque, new technology and a suite of cloud-based services to increase productivity. The all-new Super Duty offers up to 40,000 lbs. of towing capacity when properly equipped and up to 8,000 pounds of maximum payload. And a new Ford Pro Upfit Integration System makes it easier to add and operate special work equipment such as lights, cranes or snowplows.

2023 Ford Super Duty Engines
The 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty will be offered with four available engines, starting with a new standard 6.8-liter V8 gasoline engine producing 405 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque, designed to provide more low-end torque to improve performance when starting on steep grades or when merging onto highways. Ford has not released final horsepower and torque ratings for any of the engines. For the available 7.3-liter unit produces 430 horsepower and 485 lb-ft of torque, the best horsepower and torque ratings in the class for a gasoline engine with improved air intake and revised tuning.

Power Stroke Diesel Engines
Diesel engines are popular in the heavy-duty truck segment, and Ford will offer two Power Stroke diesel engine choices. The 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel engine produces 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque, already very impressive numbers. But the new high-output 6.7-liter diesel also receives a unique turbo, upgraded exhaust manifolds and unique tuning to produce 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque, both best-in-class numbers according to Ford. Every Super Duty gets fitted with a Ford-designed-and-built 10-speed TorqShift automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is standard equipment on the XLT trim and above.

Super Duty Capability
The 2023 Super Duty offers a maximum tow rating of 40,000 lbs. for the F-450 Regular Cab when equipped with the 6.7-liter High Output Power Stroke diesel and Max Tow Package and towing a gooseneck trailer. The F-350 dual-rear-wheel pickup is rated at 38,000 pounds. The best maximum fifth -wheel tow rating is 35,000 lbs. for the F-450 with dual rear wheels. Maximum conventional towing capacity is 30,000 pounds. The maximum payload rating of 8,000 pounds is for the F-350 dual-rear-wheel Regular Cab 2-wheel-drive XL trim with the Heavy-Duty payload package.

Ford Pro Upfit Integration System
The 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty features a new Ford Pro Upfit Integration System that provides aftermarket equipment manufacturers with improved access to the Super Duty’s electrical system and signals. This means equipment integrates more easily so it can be operated through the truck’s displays. Cloud-based software connects to the UIS, so equipment makers can add digital buttons and high levels of customization so drivers can control equipment from inside the truck — a big win during inclement weather. The system also allows for safety interlocks such as preventing the transmission from shifting into Drive when a boom lift is raised.

Pro Power Onboard
Ford’s Pro Power Onboard is now available for Super Duty, featuring 2.0-kilowatts of output to power a jobsite or even a tailgate party. Power outlets are accessible inside the truck and within the cargo box; Ford says this new Super Duty offers more exportable power than any other heavy-duty pickup.

Embedded 5G
The 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty is the first pickup in the U.S. with embedded 5G capability, enabling faster mapping, Wi-Fi and Ford Power-Up software updates while driving. In addition, all-new available Trailer Navigation identifies the best real-time drive route to take based on trailer size. “Super Duty is a name that is trusted to get the job done, and our customers have helped to make it the most popular commercial truck in America, bar none,” said Ted Cannis, CEO of Ford Pro. “With state-of-the-art technology, including a 5G modem connected to a powerful ecosystem of productivity-boosting software and services, the all-new Super Duty can seamlessly shift from workhorse to office of the future,” Cannis noted.

Powering Businesses
Super Duty’s 5G modem from Qualcomm Technologies can provide a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices, and it supports Ford Power-Up software updates while driving. Super Duty owners can take advantage of services offered by Ford Pro, a dedicated business that focuses on helping business owners be more efficient by maximizing uptime, improving productivity and lowering costs via a suite of connected vehicles, software, services and financing. Software tools include Ford Pro Fleet Management and Ford Pro Telematics that help identify maintenance needs, vehicle locations, driver behaviors, wasted idle time and more.

Driver-Assistance Technologies
The 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty offers new available driver-assistance technologies designed to simplify the towing experience and induce confidence in the driver. Onboard Scales with Smart Hitch estimates cargo weight in real time and provides guidance on trailer tongue weight distribution with information delivered to the center touchscreen, FordPass app or within the Smart Taillamps. An available 360-Degree Trailer Camera Kit creates a bird’s-eye view of the truck and trailer when four available wired cameras are attached to the trailer. A blind-spot information system for fifth-wheel trailers can be attached to the trailer, helping identify when vehicles are next to the trailer.

Pro Trailer Hitch Assist
The 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty also offers an available Tailgate Down Camera and Tailgate Down Reverse Sensing System with a new camera and backup sensors in the top of the tailgate. These make backing up to a dock or hitching the gooseneck of a fifth-wheel trailer even easier. Another available feature called Pro Trailer Hitch Assist automatically backs up the truck and aligns the conventional hitch ball with the trailer receiver. Finally, Trailer Navigation plots the best route with given trailer weight and dimensions to avoid issues such as low bridges or tight turns.

Zero Blind Spots
“Our goal was to leave drivers with zero blind spots, even when towing the longest trailers,” said Andrew Kernahan, Ford Super Duty chief engineer. “Camera views provide every angle, from simulating a drone to making sure customers can see behind the truck even when the tailgate is down. Hitching and towing has never been easier,” Kernahan observed.

Exterior Design
The new exterior of the 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty features seven new wide grille designs. Depending on trim level chosen the grilles can extend all the way to the edge of the fenders to maximize cooling performance. The Signature C-Clamp lighting wraps around the grille at the outer edge, and LED headlights are now standard on all trim levels. Long, functional side vents in the fenders reduce under-hood air pressure for improved aerodynamics. The 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty will be offered in six trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited. Three cab styles will also be available: Regular, SuperCab and Crew Cab.

Appearance Packages
For customers looking to add a little more flair to their pickup, new STX, Sport and Black Appearance Packages offer unique trim, wheel and paint combinations. A new XL Off-Road Package is available on F-250 or F-350 XL with 4-wheel drive and single rear wheels, and adds 33-inch tires, a raised air dam, water-fording axle vent tubes, skidplates and an electronic locking rear differential.

Super Duty Tremor
The Tremor Off-Road Package for the 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty includes a front-end lift with uniquely tuned suspension, a Dana front axle with a limited-slip differential, front axle vent tubes, 35-inch Goodyear tires, unique 18-inch wheels, Trail Control, and selectable drive modes including a rock-crawl mode. Trail Turn Assist is A new addition to the Tremor Off-Road Package for 2023.

Ford Super Duty Cabin
The 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty features a 12-inch customizable digital instrument cluster with an 8-inch center display for the XL and a 12-inch center display standard on all other trims. The center console holds a tablet upright to make it easier to use while parked, and the truck has four USB power ports and an available wireless charging pad. Available Max Recline Seats fold almost horizontal, and the seat bottoms lift up for a nearly flat surface when rest is needed. Available audio systems include a 640-watt, 8-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system or an optional 1,080-watt, 18-speaker B&O Unleashed system.
