Under the Hood
The 2021 Nissan Armada is powered by a 5.6-liter Endurance V8 engine producing 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, combined with an advanced 7-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift control and downshift rev matching. Armada is offered with rear-wheel drive or Nissan’s Auto 4WD system. Standard maximum towing capacity is 8,500 pounds when properly equipped.
An integrated trailer brake controller and tow hitch receiver are standard on Armada SV, SL and Platinum trims. Armada SL and Platinum also include standard trailer sway control. When the system senses trailer sway, it automatically applies the brakes to slow the vehicle and eliminate sway.
