2020 NACTOY Semifinalists
On September 20, 2019, the North American Car and Truck of the Year Awards committee revealed 29 semifinalists (12 cars, 12 utilities, 5 trucks) for the 2020 North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year Awards. The panel of jurors comprises about 50 North American professional auto journalists from print, web, radio and TV who rate the new models in terms of innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction and value. The next steps are an invitational 3-day drive in October to winnow the list to the top three finalists in each category (which will be announced at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20), with award winners announced early in 2020 at Cobo Center in Detroit. In order to be eligible, a vehicle must be all new or significantly redesigned for the model year entered. Take a look at the panel’s initial selections.
