MINI John Cooper Works GP
The Los Angeles Auto Show was the world premiere of the high-performance MINI John Cooper Works GP — the fastest MINI ever produced for the street. A limited edition of only 3,000 units will be produced. The MINI John Cooper Works GP is powered by a 2.0-liter MINI TwinPower Turbo engine producing 301 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque — 75 horsepower more than the MINI John Cooper Works. The engine is combined with an 8-speed Steptronic sports transmission with an integrated mechanical differential lock for the front wheels. The John Cooper Works GP will accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 5.2 seconds; it has a top track speed of 165 mph.
