2018 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion

One of the premier historic car events in the country, the annual Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion brings together more than 550 historic race cars in August at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca east of Monterey. Enthusiastic owners put their historic cars through their paces for all to see on Laguna Seca’s 2.24-mile natural-terrain 11-turn road course carved in California’s Central Coast Hills, which includes the famous Corkscrew turn.

Nissan Featured Marque
This year Nissan was the featured marque for the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, and both Nissan and Datsun race cars were running throughout the event. Race groups covered the spectrum from vintage machines that go back as far as 1911, to sports cars that competed in the original Pebble Beach Road Races, to high-powered vintage Can-Am, Formula 5000, and Formula One machines. Other classes included 1927–1951 Racing Cars; 1955–1961 Sports Racing over 2000cc; 1967–1984 Formula One; 1973–1981 FIA, IMSA, GT, GTX, GTU, AAGT; 1966–1972 Trans Am; FIA Manufacturers Championship; and 1968–1973 Formula 5000.
