Hyundai i30 N TCR Race Car
At this year’s Chicago media days, Hyundai not only showcased its first high-performance N model, the Korean automaker also announced its intention to go racing. On display was the i30 N TCR race car (the i30 is sold as the Elantra in the U.S.) which will be competing in the 2018 Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car Racing class. Two cars will be run in partnership with Bryan Herta Autosport, each based on the i30 N but with considerable alterations. The race cars will get power from a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 350 horsepower, teamed with a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
