A Show of Speed and Sport
One of the premier historic car events in the country, the annual Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion brings together more than 500 historic race cars in August at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Enthusiastic owners put their historic cars through their paces for all to see on Mazda Raceway’s 2.24-mile natural-terrain 11-turn road course carved in California’s Central Coast Hills, which includes the famous Corkscrew turn. This year the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion race groups covered the spectrum from Pre-1940 Sports Racing and Touring Cars to 1981–1991 IMSA GTP cars. Other classes included 1927–1951 Racing Cars, 1955–1961 Sports Racing over 2000cc, and 1963–1973 FIA Manufacturers Championship cars.
