Annual Tour
Every year on the third Sunday in August, the 18th fairway in front of The Lodge at Pebble Beach is awash in a sea of shiny sheet metal during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, a judged competition that hosts many rare and significant cars of the world. But on the Thursday prior to the prestigious concours, many of those same vehicles take to the streets surrounding Carmel By The Sea during the Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance.

Former Glory
Last year the tour route had to be abbreviated due to wildfires south of Carmel near Highway 1. The 2017 Pebble Beach Tour returned to its previous route and former glory, which began by parading in front of The Lodge at Pebble Beach before winding through the hills east of Carmel, and then turning south on Highway 1 to Big Sur before returning to Carmel for lunch.

Public Viewing
Upon arrival in Carmel, Tour d’Elegance vehicles line all four lanes of Ocean Avenue, providing a free public display that includes most of the cars that will adorn the lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours on Sunday. Let’s look at the wealth of amazing machines that cruised the tour route this year.
