Many car enthusiasts and automotive pundits consider the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to be the premier collector car event on Earth, since it brings together some of the finest vintage machinery from around the world to celebrate the automobile and its rich history. Featured classes in 2016 recognized the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT40 victory at Le Mans, the centennial of BMW, the Lamborghini Miura 50th anniversary and Chapron coachwork, along with familiar classes such as Antique, American Classic, Ferrari Grand Touring, Duesenberg and more. Car collectors from across the globe brought rare vehicles to the Monterey Peninsula to be judged by a prestigious panel of automotive experts.
