First C-Class Cabriolet
For the first time ever, Mercedes-Benz will offer a cabriolet based on the compact C-Class, adding a new 4-seat entry-level convertible to complete the Mercedes-Benz lineup of 2-seat and 4-seat open-top cars. The new C-Class Cabriolet debuted at the Geneva Motor Show and is scheduled to go on sale in the U.S. in late summer 2016.

Design Follows Coupe
The new C-Class Cabriolet design follows that of the Coupe, with a diamond grille, standard LED headlights, a long hood and high beltline. The distinctive rear design possesses a sporty look, with wide shoulders and flat LED taillights. The C300 Cabriolet rides on standard 18-inch wheels and tires.

Coupe-Like Profile
With a power acoustic cloth soft-top, the profile of the C-Class Cabriolet mimics the C-Class Coupe when the top is up, and the top can be lowered in 20-seconds at speeds up to 31 mph. The tightly-stretch soft-top includes a glass rear window; available colors are standard black or optional dark brown, dark blue or dark red. The top stows in the trunk with an integrated cover for a clean finish when lowered, and the A-pillars, windshield and soft-top cover feature chrome trim.

Convertible Comfort
The C-Class Cabriolet features standard AIRSCARF neck-level heating from a vent integrated into the seat, and an available AIRCAP automatic draft stop system. The electric AIRCAP system integrates with the roof frame and also uses an electric wind blocker behind the rear seats. A manually-folded wind blocker behind the front seats is standard.

C300 Cabriolet, 4MATIC Offered
The rear-wheel-drive C300 Cabriolet gets motivation from a powerful but efficient turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, combined with a new 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system is also offered for the C300 Cabriolet, offering better performance in all weather conditions.

Mercedes-AMG C43 Cabriolet
The AMG version of the new C-Class Cabriolet, the C43 Cabriolet is powered by a biturbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 362 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque, combined with a new 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. Also standard is the AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive system with rear-biased torque distribution and a newly developed front axle.

AMG Handling, Performance
The C43 Cabriolet features AMG Ride Control sport suspension with 3-mode adaptive variable damping, AMG 5-mode Dynamic Select and a 3-stage ESP Electronic Stability Program. The AMG version also includes a diamond grille with chrome pins, AMG bumpers, 18-inch AMG light alloy 5-spoke wheels with high-gloss black paint, an AMG instrument cluster, a multifunction sport steering wheel and black sport seats with MB-Tex/Dinamica microfiber and red stitching.

C-Class Cabriolet Interior
Inside, the C-Class Cabriolet is based on the interior of the C-Class Sedan with additional cabriolet features including optional heat-reflecting leather in five available colors. The sport seats are from the C-Class Coupe, with aggressive side bolsters and integrated head restraints that integrate the standard AIRSCARF heating vents. Individual rear seats are split 50/50 and can be folded separately.

AMG-Inspired Sport Package
The available Sport Package includes AMG-style bumpers, AMG-style side sills, a diamond grille with chrome pins, 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, a multifunction flat-bottom sport steering wheel, AMG pedals, sport suspension and larger front brakes with Mercedes-Benz-branded calipers.

Standard Lower Suspension, Optional Air Suspension
The standard suspension for the C300 Cabriolet is 0.6 inches lower than the C-Class Sedan, with standard steel springs and selective damping. The sport suspension included with the Sport Package has firmer springs and damping, as well as the Sport Direct Steer system. Optional for the C300 Cabriolet is AIRMATIC air suspension with electronically-controlled continuously adjustable damping.
