A Hollywood Premiere
On Monday Land Rover premiered the all-new Range Rover Evoque Convertible in West Hollywood, California, prior to the press preview at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Since Southern California will undoubtedly be one of the largest markets for the compact convertible SUV, it was the perfect location for the first U.S. showing following the vehicle’s global debut last week at University of the Arts’ famous Central Saint Martins building in Granary Square, Kings Cross, London.

Distinctive Profile Retained
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is designed to retain the distinctive profile of the Evoque 5-door hatchback and coupe, with its rising beltline and sloping roofline, whether the fabric soft-top is up or down. The lightweight roof stows flush with the rear bodywork in 18 seconds and can be raised at speeds up to 30 mph in 21 seconds. The Z-fold fabric top includes a layer of acoustic insulation to create an interior environment on par with the hatchback.

Next-Gen Infotainment
The next-generation Jaguar Land Rover InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with a 10.2-inch makes its Land Rover debut in the Evoque Convertible, replete with smartphone integration and available door-to-door navigation, Wi-Fi connectivity and premium sound system.

True Grit
True to the Land Rover heritage, the Range Rover Evoque Convertible retains the same all-terrain capability as the Evoque hatchback and coupe with a standard all-wheel-drive system, a 240-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, a 9-speed automatic transmission and Land Rover’s patented Terrain Response system of multiple driving modes.

On Sale?
The new Range Rover Evoque Convertible will be produced alongside other Evoque models at the Land Rover Halewood plant in the United Kingdom, and is scheduled to go on sale in the U.S. in the middle of 2016.
